Salt and Vinegar chips

Like salt and vinegar chips on a canker sore, I kind of wanted more.
That feeling of pain.
It was never plain.
Rubbing for any kind of reaction.
Like salt in the wound, there was some kind of action.
Like picking at a scab to get to the pain.
When it’s gone, there is no real gain.
